Analysis of Snapchat
Snapchat is famous for creating the “story”. It forever changed the way we engage with creative content by providing a virtual presence indicator on time-sensitive content. The feature created a new channel to market to audiences. It does this by creating a new way to bottleneck engagement and monetize influencers and brands on social platforms.
Product Development – Adding the story feature is one that will change the way we do professional marketing. LinkedIn is leaving millions on the table by not leveraging a story feature. We plan to create a story feature for not only the general network feed but also per workgroup. Stories will be uploaded based on personal friends and sponsorships.
Marketing Strategy – Run paid ads on Snapchat to target successful influencers on the platform to share their content and drive users/engagement to our platform.
